Why ADRSE
The standard for repair certification.
ADRSE — the International Association of Device Repair Service Excellence — exists to raise the standard of device repair through independent certification. We're a not-for-profit, fully taxpaying corporation. Certification starts with the individual: a portable credential that's yours, not your employer's. And the locations we certify earn that status only by employing ADRSE-certified technicians — so a certified location always means certified people doing the work.
Our story
ADRSE began offering third-party certification because the repair industry needed a real way to verify that cell phone and tablet technicians actually had the training the job demands — troubleshooting technique, knowledge of test equipment, professional ethics, and genuine vendor-neutral repair skill. Anyone can turn a screwdriver. We built ADRSE to prove who can do the work, and do it right.
How we're built
Our certifications are aligned with the ISO/IEC 17024 standard for personnel certification bodies. Working alongside education providers and industry professionals, ADRSE tests both the knowledge and the hands-on skills today's mobility repair industry actually requires. We currently offer five stand-alone technician credentials spanning every major area of cell phone and tablet repair, and we certify hundreds of technicians and specialists every year.
Independent by design
ADRSE answers to repair quality and to consumers — not to manufacturers or insurers. Our programs are non-discriminatory, portable, vendor-neutral, objective, and affordable. That independence is exactly what sets ADRSE apart from manufacturer- and product-tied certifications: when you earn an ADRSE credential, it reflects your ability, not someone else's sales channel.
What an ADRSE certification means
It signifies that the holder has demonstrated professional proficiency and has the technical knowledge and skill to meet international mobility repair industry standards.
