Certifications
ADRSE offers five stand-alone technician credentials. Each can be earned on its own, and together they form the most complete certification path in device repair. Earn the credentials that match your work — or climb the full ladder to Master Technician.
Repair Fundamentals Certification
The foundation. Validates core knowledge: repair terminology, device theory, safe-handling and safety protocols, test-equipment fundamentals, and professional ethics. Earned through a proctored written/knowledge exam.
Core Repair Certification
Hands-on skill validation for everyday repairs — screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, and common component replacements — performed and assessed at an approved testing center.
Board-Level Repair Certification
Validates board-level diagnostic knowledge plus coarse-pitch microsoldering skill — the component-level work most certifications never address. Includes a hands-on practical assessment.
Advanced Microsoldering Certification
The advanced tier: fine-pitch microsoldering and component-level skill, validated through a demanding hands-on practical. This is the work that separates expert technicians from the rest.
ADRSE Master Technician
Our highest credential. Awarded to technicians who hold all four certification levels and have verified time on the job. Master Technician represents complete, demonstrated command of the craft — from fundamentals to fine-pitch microsoldering, proven over real working experience.
ADRSE Certified Locations
Beyond individual technicians, ADRSE certifies repair locations — but only locations that employ ADRSE-certified technicians qualify. A Certified Location tells customers that certified, hands-on-validated professionals are doing their repairs. Learn more on the Certified Locations page.
